Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Cable Assembler for a contract-to-hire role based in Beverly, MA. The ideal candidate will assemble small cable assemblies, use microscopes for precision, and follow strict work instructions to ensure high-quality outputs.

The position requires reading blueprints, basic soldering, and attention to detail. Work is performed onsite, with a focus on meeting production schedules while maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• Proficient with tweezers, microscopes, and hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.

• Assemble small connector parts and cable assemblies at a bench.
• Position and secure very small components using a microscope or magnifier.
• Follow written work instructions and production documents to ensure correct assemblies.
• Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams for electrical cable assemblies.
• Perform basic soldering tasks as required for cable assembly.
• Prepare cables and connectors including stripping and crimping.
• Conduct basic visual inspection to verify quality and standards compliance.
• Use basic math to verify measurements and production specs.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area following cleanroom-style practices.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet output and schedule requirements.

7:00am - 3:30pm

Pay

$20-$24/hour

Responsibilities

• Assemble small connector parts and cable assemblies at a work bench using tweezers and other hand tools.
• Use a microscope or magnifying glass to position and secure very small components with precision.
• Follow written work instructions and production documentation to complete assemblies correctly and consistently.
• Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams related to electrical cable assemblies.
• Perform basic soldering tasks as required for cable and connector assembly.
• Prepare cables and connectors for assembly, including stripping, crimping, and organizing components.
• Conduct basic visual inspection of assembled parts to verify quality and compliance with standards.
• Use basic math to verify measurements, counts, and production specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in alignment with cleanroom-type manufacturing practices.
• Work collaboratively with the production team to meet output, quality, and schedule requirements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beverly, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
