Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Specialist in Hicksville, NY, to greet customers, understand their home improvement needs, and guide them to suitable products and services. You will become a product expert, explain specifications, promotions, and financing options to close sales, and support multiple departments as needed.

You will engage with customers on the sales floor, answer questions, and help them complete purchases while maintaining pricing and stock levels.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 1 year customer-facing sales experience or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external sales if no education met).
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience with goals/metrics.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by understanding needs and explaining Lowe’s products and services.
• Provide project estimates, schedule installer visits, process orders, and follow up to ensure completion.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.”
• Monitor inventory and work with vendors/stores to secure stock and maintain pricing.
