Job summary

PAC Seating Systems in Palm City, FL seeks an experienced mechanical assembler for aircraft interior products. You will perform sheet metal fabrication and mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic assembly using hand tools and drawings to meet tolerance specifications.

Responsibilities include drilling, riveting, soldering, testing assemblies, and following safety policies. Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and initiative are required for this role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required with five years related experience and/or training.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail with ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills; able to follow drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

  • Mechanical assembly of aircraft interior products per drawings and specs.
  • Measure parts to tolerance and drill, taps, reams, countersinks as needed.
  • Bolt, rivet, solder, and crimp components; assemble and test functionality.
  • Use and maintain basic shop tools; identify dash numbers in drawings.
  • Follow redline processes, ensure safety and quality, share knowledge with teammates.

Position Overview

Mechanical assembly of aircraft interior products, work includes but not limited to sheet metal fabrication, and/or mechanical, electrical and pneumatic assembly by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions
  • Measures parts to determine specified tolerance
  • Drills, taps, reams, countersinks, and spot faces bolt holes in parts
  • Must be proficient in using most hand operated tools
  • Follows written instructions, notes and dimensions on drawings
  • Ability to follow the redline process for drawing errors
  • Bolts, screws, and rivets parts together
  • Disassembles and replaces parts as required
  • Cleans and lubricates parts and assemblies
  • Marks identifying information on parts
  • Have a working knowledge of proper riveting techniques
  • Proficient in modifying parts per the drawings i.e.: cut, drill, radius, etc.
  • Able to identify required dash numbers in a drawing structure
  • Perform soldering and crimping operations
  • Tests functional performance of assembly
  • Share knowledge and techniques to help others progress

Tools & Equipment Requirements
  • Employees are required to provide and maintain a basic set of personal hand tools necessary to perform essential job functions
  • All tools must be maintained in a safe working condition
Education, Certifications And Experience
  • High school diploma or GED and five years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Physical Demands And Work Environment
  • Working conditions are normal for that of a manufacturing/machine shop/office environment.
  • All employees are expected to adhere to Company safety policies and wear personal protective equipment when exposed to work areas or performing tasks where it is required.
