Job summary

Airbus Americas Customer Services, Inc. is seeking a Cabin Upgrade Project Engineer (Contract) in Mobile, Alabama.

The role focuses on bridging complex engineering design with flawless project execution, managing lifecycle, planning, and coordinating with subcontractors to ensure cabin retrofit solutions and Service Bulletins are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate has a background in engineering, exposure to project methodologies, CATIA CAD skills, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Aeronautical / Civil / Electrical).
• 0–3 years of engineering experience for Bachelors, 0–1 for Master’s degree.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• Direct exposure to project or program engineering methodologies.
• CAD skills with CATIA.
• Airline/MRO experience desired.
• Aircraft cabin experience preferred.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Basic programming experience.
• Ability to build a global internal network.

Responsibilities

• Define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
• Translate requirements into structured aircraft modification plans.
• Manage subcontractors, risks, and budgets.
• Coordinate with internal and international Airbus teams.
• Oversee cabin retrofit designs and engineering drawings.
• Support SB embodiment and aircraft certification processes.
• Provide on-site hangar support and interface with customers.
