Job summary

Airbus is seeking a Summer Intern - Cabin Engineering in Mobile, AL, to assist design, analysis, and certification of aircraft interiors. You will work with engineering teams, using CAD tools and MBSE concepts, while learning design and certification processes for cabin components.

Qualified students must be pursuing an engineering degree, be authorized to work in the US, and demonstrate programming skills in Python/C++/R, data analytics, and web development.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited, full-time 4-year engineering degree program (Mechanical, Aeronautical/Aerospace/Civil/Systems/Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science).
• Minimum Sophomore level or enrolled in a Master’s degree program is acceptable.
• Authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
• Experience leading engineering projects as a student or intern.
• Knowledge of Data Science, Data Analytics, or Web Development/API Development.
• Strong programming skills (Python/C++/R).
• Familiar with MBSE, CAD and analysis tools (e.g., CAD/MathCAD/Nastran-Patran).
• Ability to read technical procedures and engineering drawings; proficient with MS/Google Office.

Responsibilities

• Participate in engineering improvement and innovation projects (automation, digitalization, data analytics).
• Generate engineering reports and templates to support projects.
• Organize engineering data and route documents for review.
• Generate weekly status reports and coordinate with customers and teams.
• Assist in developing presentation materials (illustrations and data visuals).
• Support drafting of engineering documents and archiving.
