Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. in Mobile, Alabama is seeking a Summer Intern - Cabin Engineering to assist design, analysis, and certification activities for aircraft interior components. You will work with engineering teams using design tools and learn how cabin systems integrate within the airframe.

The program offers mentorship, exposure to MBSE concepts, data analytics, and presentation development. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited engineering or computer science program and be eligible

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited engineering or computer science program.
• Sophomore level or higher is acceptable for enrollment.
• Authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
• Experience leading engineering projects as a student or intern.
• Knowledge in Data Science, Analytics, or Web/API development.
• Programming skills in Python, C++, or R.
• Familiar with MBSE and engineering design processes.
• Familiar with CAD and analysis tools (MathCAD, Nastran/Patran).
• Strong MS Office and Google Suite proficiency.
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Participate in engineering improvement and innovation projects as capacity allows.
• Generate engineering reports and templates to support projects.
• Organize engineering data and route documents for review.
• Generate weekly status reports for related activities.
• Attend meetings and coordinate with internal or external customers.
• Assist in creating presentation materials and data visuals.
• Support drafting of engineering documents and archiving.
• Compile results data into usable formats for future references.
