Job summary

Athens Administrators is seeking a Claims Supervisor for our California Workers’ Compensation division. You will lead a team, make daily claims decisions, review files for accuracy, and ensure timely unit closing.

The role supports a hybrid setup with in-office presence once per week in Concord or Orange, CA, and remote days when technical requirements are met. Strong leadership and client communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of CA indemnity workers’ compensation claims handling.
• At least 2 years of Claims Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with Third-Party Administrator (TPA) operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a claims team to meet unit goals.
• Review files for accuracy and reserve adequacy.
• Authorize payments and settlements within authority.
• Generate and analyze reports for management.
• Coordinate with clients, attorneys, and doctors.
• Foster training and professional development for staff.
