Job summary

Sedgwick, a global risk and claims administrator, seeks a California workers’ compensation Claims Examiner to adjudicate high-exposure claims, including litigated cases, and determine benefits due. Remote work with autonomy and strong client service focus.

You’ll use analysis, negotiation, and subrogation skills to resolve claims efficiently for leading brands. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of CA WC claims experience, knowledge of CA jurisdiction, and a SIP certification or ability to obtain

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
• 4 years of California workers' compensation claims management experience.
• California jurisdiction knowledge required; SIP obtained within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and processes complex CA workers' compensation claims; investigates to determine exposure and resolves with action plans.
• Negotiates settlements within designated authority.
• Calculates reserves and ensures timely benefits and payments.
• Prepares state filings within statutory limits.
• Manages litigation processes and coordinates with clients.
