Job summary

Hadco Metal Trading Co., LLC is seeking a Saw Machine Operator to cut aluminum, stainless steel, engineering plastics, and other alloys to spec. Products include aerospace and commercial market components, with a range of CNC and band saw equipment.

Responsibilities include setting up and operating CNC and manual machinery, reading specifications, inspecting tolerances with micrometers and calipers, and ensuring accuracy throughout production. Shift options available.

Qualifications

• Solid math skills including measuring with fractions and decimals.
• Familiar with ERP systems.
• Detail oriented and able to multi-task.
• Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop and stretch; lift 50 lbs repeatedly.

Description

Hadco Metal Trading Co., LLC distributes and supplies metal products including aluminum, stainless steel, carbon, related alloys, and engineering grade plastics for aerospace, and commercial markets. Our range of precision cutting equipment includes water jets, band saws, various CNC machines, and shears.

Summary

As a Saw Machine Operator, you will be responsible for cutting aluminum, stainless steel, engineering grade plastic, and other alloys to meet customer specifications.

Various Available Work Schedules (see Below)

Shift 1: Sunday-Monday from 4:00 am to 3:00 pm; Tuesday from 4:00 am to 3:00 pm, Wednesday from 3:00 pm to 2:00 am

Shift 2: Wednesday-Saturday from 4:00 am to 3:00 pm

Shift 3: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 3:00 pm to 2:00 am

Role & Responsibilities

• Operate manual and/or CNC machinery to accurately cut aluminum, stainless steel, and other alloys.
• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Ability to work with quality inspection tools including micrometers and calipers and perform basic dimensional tolerances.
• Monitor machine operation for accuracy throughout the cutting processes.
• Continually measure work piece dimensions to assure constant specification accuracy throughout machine operation.
• Prioritize workload to meet customer requirements and company performance goals.

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Detail oriented and able to multi-task
• Familiar with ERP systems
• Minimum 18 years of age
