Job summary

Lockheed Martin's C2BMC program seeks a TO60 Project Engineer to lead multi-task orders through planning, scheduling, risk management, and program execution. You will partner with the Solution Chief to drive milestones, coordinate data, and deliver briefs for program reviews across a broad defense software effort.

You will apply EVMS, systems engineering, and deployment knowledge to support sustainment and development activities while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Proven leadership across sustainment and development lifecycles.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate planning, control, and completion of engineering projects within assigned area.
  • Develop program milestones, schedules, and capabilities for TO60 work scope.
  • Update and maintain Agile tools with progress data and metrics.
  • Assist in preparing program briefings and CDRLs for reviews and events.
  • Identify risks and opportunities, develop mitigation plans, and communicate findings.

C2BMC is an IDIQ structured program comprised of multiple task orders responsible for the design, development, deployment, integration, testing, operations and sustainment of a software-based Command/Control and Battle Management system. This system provides US Commanders around the globe essential situational awareness and is the integrating element central to the MDA’s missile defense missions.

C2BMC is an IDIQ structured program comprised of multiple task orders responsible for the design, development, deployment, integration, testing, operations and sustainment of a software-based Command/Control and Battle Management system. This system provides US Commanders around the globe essential situational awareness and is the integrating element central to the MDA’s missile defense missions.

The Work

In this role as the TO60 Project Engineering role you will report to the C2BMC TO60 Solution Chief (SC) and support execution of technical program management related duties and responsibilities that span the associated C2BMC Task Orders.

  • Work with the SC in the creation of program level milestones and capabilities needed to successfully achieve all TO60 work scope as defined in the SOW and ECPs
  • Assists the SC in monitoring the successful implementation of TO60 capabilities
  • Ensure Agile work flow management tools are continually updated with all required data and reflect progress to date
  • Support the SC in the development of program briefings (eg. PMR, IPRs, IETRs) and CDRLs to include planning and execution of program review events
  • Populate program execution metrics, tracking metric data, and problem solving
  • Lead identification of program risks and opportunities, including development of the risks/opportunities, mitigation plans, tracking and coordination, and resolution, plus risk briefings to various risk and opportunity management boards
  • Support program definition of ECPs and Task Instructions including definition of capabilities, schedules, detailed task planning, ECP BOE Kickoff presentations, plus BOE reviews, and coordination with BOE authors.

Standard Job Description

Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

Basic Qualifications
  • Must have an Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this position
  • Experience with project planning, cost, schedule, & performance
  • Previous experience with development programs and deployment execution activities
  • Proven leadership abilities to manage, coordinate, and oversee cross Functional Area efforts associated with both the Sustainment and Development lifecycle management
Desired Skills
  • Knowledge of Planning, Scheduling, Project Management and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering, Software Development, and Deployment
  • Experienced in developing and managing project teams and schedules
  • Experienced in Development Lifecycle and knowledge of spiral development processes
  • Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
