Job summary

Anduril Industries in Colorado is seeking a Systems Safety Engineer for its Battlespace Awareness C2 team. You will own end-to-end safety for software and hardware interfaces across sensors, effectors, and autonomous platforms.

You will lead safety requirements, perform hazard analyses, and ensure compliance with MIL-STD-882 and government processes, while partnering with Army, Navy, and Air Force customers. The role includes data-driven testing and rapid safety integration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of systems safety, systems engineering, or safety-critical software experience.
• MIL-STD-882 (preferably 882E) experience across a defense program lifecycle.
• Experience with Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and other analyses (FHA, FMEA/FMECA, PHA, SSA, CCA).
• Requirements decomposition, traceability, and verification/validation fluency.
• Experience validating safety and performance requirements via analysis, simulation, HITL/SITL, or field testing.

Responsibilities

• Own systems safety end-to-end for C2 software and interfaces to sensors and autonomous platforms.
• Lead safety requirements gathering, decomposition, and traceability across teams.
• Validate safety through performance-characterization campaigns and field data.
