Job summary

Northern Waters Casino Resort in Michigan is seeking a cashier to provide friendly, efficient service in the assigned cashier area and handle transactions with accuracy. You will respond to guest questions, follow all policies, and support daily casino operations while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

PAYRATE: $14.00 - $16.00/hour (Non-Exempt)

Description

The Cashier will perform a variety of cashiering functions within the assigned Cashier area. Will respond positively to questions and inquiries from the public.

Primary Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide excellent service to guests,internal and external, through active guest engagement and positive attitude.
• Shall be required toread, implement, and adhere to all NWCR Policies and Procedures, LVD GamingOrdinance, Tribal/State Gaming Compact, NIGC Minimum Internal Control Standards, IndianGaming Regulatory Act, LVD Tribal Internal Control Standards, Title 31Minimum Internal Control Standards, NWCR Casino Employee Handbook, ConvenienceStore Department Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Operating the cash register andrunning credit cards transactions
• Responsible for accurate handling ofmonies including ensuring accuracy of money in, money out of cash bank.
• Verify age of customer if purchasingalcohol or cigarettes
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Stock products to shelves andcoolers, check expiration dates, ensure only fresh/intact products are sold.
• Will be required to work in any areaassigned.
• To remain in compliance with CasinoRegulatory policies and procedures, employees are required to attend allnecessary meetings and trainings facilitated by Management.
• Due to changes and modifications injobs from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume otherresponsibilities assigned by management.
