Job summary

Refuel Operating Company, LLC is seeking a C-Store Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, drive efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. You will help hire, train, and develop team members while keeping the store clean, stocked, and guest-ready.

The role requires flexibility with hours and a willingness to work evenings and weekends. Prior retail or food service experience is ideal, with on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, food service, or customer service.
• Ability to perform basic math at the eighth-grade level.
• On-the-job training provided for all new team members.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Organized and efficient with multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Honest, dependable, and willing to learn new tasks and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Work the days and hours needed to meet business requirements, typically five days per week, including some weekends.
• If short-staffed or not meeting standards, may be required to work up to six days per week.
• Work shifts, including at least two nights per week.
• Support daily store operations and complete assigned tasks per policies and area manager direction.
• Ensure compliance with all city, county, and state beverage laws.
• Deliver prompt, courteous service to every customer.
• Lead staff to maintain cleanliness and high store inspection scores.
• Complete required training and maintain customer-ready standards (restrooms, lot, islands, counters, merchandise).
• Ensure accurate cash handling, balancing, and timely bank deposits.
