Job summary

Refuel Operating Company, LLC is seeking a C-Store Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, hiring, training, and developing team members while maintaining a clean, well-stocked, and customer-ready store.

This role requires flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays, with weekly hours varying based on business needs. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have retail, food service, or customer service experience.
• Ability to do basic math at an eighth-grade level.
• On-the-job training provided for new team members.

Responsibilities

• Work days and hours needed, typically five days per week, including some weekends when the Store Manager is off.
• May be required to work up to six days per week if understaffed or performance is not meeting standards.
• Work assigned shifts, including at least two nights per week.
• Support daily store operations and complete tasks per policies and area manager direction.
• Ensure compliance with city, county, and state beverage laws.
• Deliver prompt, courteous service to every customer.
• Lead and assist staff in maintaining cleanliness and organization to achieve store inspection scores of 90%+.
• Complete required training and maintain customer-ready standards, including restrooms, parking lot, fuel islands, counters, and stocked merchandise.
• Ensure accurate cash handling, register balancing, and timely bank deposits.
• Adhere to company policies and Employee Handbook.
