Cox Automotive is seeking a Software Engineer II (C#, .NET) to design, develop, and maintain scalable software. You will work with Product, Architecture, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions and mentor engineers in a hands-on, production-focused role.

Responsibilities include full-stack development, spec-driven design, AI-assisted workflows, and delivering features end-to-end in a hybrid work setting. Strong C#/.NET and cloud experience required.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related field with 4+ years of experience, or MS with 2+ years, or PhD with minimal experience, or 18 years directly relevant experience.
• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and distributed systems
• Solid understanding of system design, APIs, and data models
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD practices
• Hybrid work schedule

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software across the full technology stack
• Translate requirements into technical specifications
• Ensure systems are scalable, resilient, maintainable, and secure
• Apply modern engineering standards and best practices
• Break down specs into actionable tasks and deliver incremental value
• Own end-to-end delivery of features or services
• Write and maintain automated tests (unit/integration/E2E)
• Mentor engineers and contribute to AI-enabled development workflows
• Drive spec-driven development with clear APIs/contracts
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and Architecture teams
• Contribute to coding standards and engineering best practices
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews
