Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented C# Developer - II for a fully remote role. The position requires 5+ years of .NET experience, strong MVC, REST APIs, and database skills with SQL Server.

You will work in a VA department team, leveraging Azure and AWS, Git/TFS, and CI/CD in a 100% US-based remote setting. You'll collaborate in an Agile environment, mentor juniors, and contribute to high-quality software through testing frameworks like NUnit/xUnit/MSTest, while using Visual Studio

Qualifications

• Five or more years of software development experience with .NET technologies.
• Expertise in .NET Framework / .NET Core and C#.
• Experience with MVC architecture, RESTful APIs, and SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Azure and AWS cloud services.
• Experience with Git, TFS/TFVC, and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of NUnit/xUnit/MSTest and other testing frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork.
• Ability to mentor junior developers.
• Proven track record in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).

Responsibilities

• Perform planning, requirements definition, test planning and execution for software systems.
• Develop back-end .NET applications and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and collaborate with team members.
• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Support production deployments and build long-term solutions in Agile.
• Interface with stakeholders to gather project requirements.
• Promote test automation, modularization, and code quality practices.
• Document software designs and use IDEs like Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and Git.
