Job summary

YMCA of Greater Richmond seeks caregivers to provide in-home senior care, offering companionship, light housekeeping, meal prep, and assistance with daily activities. Caregivers support seniors with tasks, encouraging exercise and engagement while ensuring safety and dignity in every interaction.

Responsibilities include medication reminders, personal care, and transportation support as needed. Must have a Virginia CNA or HHA certificate and reliable transportation; flexible schedules available,

Qualifications

• Ability and willingness to care for seniors compassionately at all times
• Reliable transportation with auto insurance
• Punctuality and reporting to assignments on time
• Cheerful, professional, respectful communication
• Virginia CNA license or HHA certificate

Ability, knowledge & experience to provide care for seniors in their homes. Desire to provide companionship and care for others. Companionship duties may include, but are not limited to: Conversation, light housekeeping, shopping, errands, meal prep, laundry, exercise and activities. Personal care duties may include, but are not limited to: medication reminders, dressing and bathing assisstance, transfer assistance, incontinence care, and feeding. Understanding and ability to work with persons with dementia.
