Qualifications

• Must currently hold the position.
• 8+ years flying experience, 5+ years as a C-17 pilot with air drop and aerial refueling, or eligible for AMC/A3TK waiver.
• Minimum of 2 years or 200 hours flight instructor experience in air drop, aerial refueling, and tactics.
• Recent C-17 flight simulator instructor experience is highly desired.
• Active secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide ground-based training to C-17 pilots using the TS curriculum.
• Instruct and measure training progress of crewmembers in training systems.
• Conduct briefings, debriefings, and counseling to develop pilot proficiency.
• Operate the Weapon System Trainer (WST) and observe student progress.
• Assist with curriculum reviews and updates to training policies.
