Job summary

FlightSafety International is seeking a Pilot Instructor to conduct ground-based training for C-17 pilots, using WST, CBT, and aircraft simulators. The role includes measuring progress, briefing and debriefing crews, and maintaining training records and courseware.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree, 8 years of flying experience (5 as a C-17 pilot with air drop and aerial refueling), 2 years flight instructor experience, and an active SECRET security clearance. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8 years flying experience, five as a C-17 pilot with air drop and aerial refueling experience.
• Two years or 200 hours of flight instructor experience in air drop, aerial refueling, and tactics.
• Active SECRET security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead ground-based training for C-17 pilots.
• Instruct using WST, the C-17 aircraft, CBTs, and other simulators.
• Monitor trainee progress and provide feedback to maintain proficiency.
• Maintain training records, record keeping, and courseware updates.
