Job summary

FlightSafety International seeks a Pilot Instructor to lead ground-based training of C-17 pilots within the Training System curriculum, using WST, CBT, and other devices to ensure readiness.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 8 years of flying experience (5 as C-17 pilot with air drop and aerial refueling), 2 years of flight instructor work, active SECRET clearance, and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Eight years flying experience, five as a C-17 pilot with air drop and aerial refueling.
• Two years or 200 hours of flight instructor experience in air drop, aerial refueling, and tactics.
• Active SECRET Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conducts ground-based training for C-17 TS pilots using WST and CBT.
• Maintains subject knowledge and instructional capability.
• Performs admin duties: record keeping and progress monitoring.
• Serves as SME and FCA as assigned.
• Supports courseware corrections and policy updates.
• Attends boards and conferences as required.
