Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Marietta, GA is seeking a Flight Line Test Mechanic C-130 to service complex aircraft systems, perform troubleshooting, and ensure airworthiness. You will determine methods, tools, operations, and sequences to rework, check out, and service aircraft structures, hydraulic and plumbing, rigging, and power plants.

Qualifications

• Four years’ experience in flight line aircraft systems maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with live aircraft systems and preflight checks.
• Substitutions allowed: aircraft tech school training, 2-year degree, or military service duty can offset portions of experience.

Responsibilities

• Making changes and replacements to hydraulic, plumbing, and rigging systems, fuel and oil units, power plants, etc.
• Making any permissible adjustments to ship's systems to meet flight line requirements
• Mocking-up, fabricating, and installing new parts and systems and performing final flight servicing, troubleshooting, and checkout for airworthiness
• Correcting malfunctions and defects revealed on the ground and/or in flight
• Utilizing state-of-the-art equipment to troubleshoot complex systems and analyze malfunctions
