Job summary

MD Now is seeking a qualified X-ray Technician / Medical Assistant in Naples, FL to join our patient-focused team. You will take vital signs, perform imaging per provider orders, collect history, and support front desk tasks while maintaining accurate EHR records.

Requirements include BXMO license, RT or BMXO/BMO license in state of residency, 1+ year clinical experience, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or BMXO/BMO license is required in state of residency.
• Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform X-ray/imaging services according to provider orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and chart audits.
• Maintain records and logs for in-house lab work and external lab submissions.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
