Job summary

Claire’s is seeking a curious, commercially minded student to join our Buying team as a Summer 2027 Intern. This internship offers hands-on exposure to fast-paced retail merchandising and helps you learn how products move from idea to customer.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Buying team with product and assortment activities.
• Review sales and product performance to identify trends and opportunities.
• Conduct competitive, market, and trend research.
• Support preparation for assortment reviews and merchandising meetings.
• Learn how buyers make decisions related to product, pricing, assortment, and inventory.
• Collaborate with Planning, Design, Marketing and cross-functional teams.
• Support special projects aligned with business priorities.
• Gain exposure to end-to-end retail merchandising processes.

About The Opportunity

As a Buying Intern, you’ll work alongside our merchandising teams and gain exposure to how Claire’s identifies trends, develops assortments, evaluates product performance, and brings exciting products to customers around the world.

What You’ll Get To Experience

• Support the Buying team with product and assortment activities.
• Review sales and product performance to identify trends and opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Retail, Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
• Interest in retail, fashion, accessories, trends, and consumer products.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working with data and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Curious, proactive, and eager to learn.
• Able to work in a fast‑paced environment where priorities may evolve.
• Expected graduation date of December 2027 or later preferred.

Summary

All positions will be compensated at or above the legally mandated minimum wage for the location in which work is performed. The final compensation will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
