Job summary

Claire’s is seeking a Buying Intern for Summer 2027. This role offers hands-on exposure to merchandising, trend identification, and product movement from idea to customer. You’ll work with our merchandising teams to learn how products are developed and brought to customers around the world.

You’ll gain experience collaborating with Planning, Design, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams while supporting product and assortment activities and competitive research.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Retail, Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
• Interest in retail, fashion, trends, and consumer products.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working with data and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Curious, proactive, and eager to learn.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities may evolve.

Buying Intern – Summer 2027

About the Opportunity

Claire’s is looking for a curious, commercially minded student to join our Buying team as a Summer 2027 Intern. This internship is designed to provide hands‑on exposure to the fast‑paced world of retail merchandising while giving you the opportunity to learn how products move from idea to customer.

As a Buying Intern, you’ll work alongside our merchandising teams and gain exposure to how Claire’s identifies trends, develops assortments, evaluates product performance, and brings exciting products to customers around the world.

What You’ll Get to Experience

Depending on business priorities and team assignments, you may have the opportunity to:

Support the Buying team with product and assortment activities.
