Job Description / Preferred Qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Purchase direct materials, components and equipment as driven by MRP.
• Review and analyze planning reports to ensure timely materials availability for production.
• Drive gross margin improvements through negotiations or localization with suppliers on pricing, rework costs, and minimizing expediting costs and purchase price variance.
• Responsible for materials lead time reduction by working with suppliers to improve cycle times, negotiating on hedges and VMI programs.
• Ensure timely PO execution and address supplier issues related to quality, capacity, and materials that may affect supply.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding early or delayed deliveries, and drive them to meet on-time delivery.
• Participate actively in business reviews with suppliers and provide constructive feedback to improve their performance scores.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of claims from suppliers on ECO and EOM projects.
• Review and execute ECN and ECO changes promptly to prevent production disruptions.
• Develop actions to minimize excess inventory.
• Collaborate with Inventory Analysts by providing recommendations during quarterly reviews and follow through on proposed actions.
• Drive improvements in inventory turns by ensuring quick execution on MRB and rapid returns on RTV.
• Conduct quarterly safety stock reviews to maintain an optimal balance between supply and inventory turns.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook; experience with SAP system is highly desirable.
• Experience in low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree or equivalent work experience; or Bachelor's degree with at least 1 year of experience.
• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of related industry experience in buying and production planning.

Base Pay Range: $74,100 - $126,000 annually. Primary Location: USA-MI-Ann Arbor-KLA.
