Job summary

Sycuan is seeking a server to provide guests with attentive service in our dining room. You will ensure clean, stocked dining areas and help create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking beverage orders, delivering drinks, stocking server stations, and maintaining cleanliness of coffee and soda machines. Prior guest service experience is preferred; the County of San Diego Food Handler Card is required.

Qualifications

• Must have County of San Diego Food Handler Card.
• Desirable: bussing, server or guest service experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safe and sanitary dining areas by cleaning table and chair surfaces, emptying ashtrays, replacing used tablecloths, plates, cups and utensils, sweeping floors, transporting bus carts to the dishwashing station, disposing of all trash, and resetting tables as needed.
• Provides guests with service by welcoming guests, taking beverage orders, delivering beverages, and responding to guest requests.
• Ensures restaurant stations are stocked and clean by placing delivered water, food supplies, cups and condiments in the server stations and cleaning coffee/soda machines, sinks, shelves and counters.
• Promotes guest relations by responding to guest requests, sharing up-to-date information on promotional contests and giveaways, providing assistance and product knowledge, and treating guests courteously.

Job Purpose:

Provides servers and guests with a clean and stocked dining room

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

(Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time)

1. Ensures safe and sanitary dining areasby cleaning table and chair surfaces, emptying ashtrays, replacing used tablecloths, plates, cups and utensils, sweeping floors, transporting bus carts to the dishwashing station, disposing of all trash, and resetting tables as needed.
2. Provides guests with serviceby acknowledging and welcoming guests entering the restaurant, taking beverage orders, delivering requested beverages, and responding to guest requests.
3. Ensures restaurant stations are stocked and cleanby placing delivered water, food supplies, cups and condiments in the server stations in the kitchens, and cleaning coffee machines, soda machines, sinks, shelves and counters according to established procedures.
4. Promotes guest relationsby responding to guest requests, offering appropriate up to date information regarding promotional contests and giveaways, providing requested assistance and product knowledge, and treating guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
