Job summary

ilani in the United States is seeking a Food Runner/Busser to support the front-of-house team and maintain service flow. You will buss tables, run food, assist wait staff and barback duties, and help ensure a seamless guest experience in a busy casino restaurant.

The role requires standing for long periods, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and the capacity to work in a smoking environment while adhering to health and safety protocols. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED or equivalent.
• Valid Food Handler’s card (onsite certification provided).
• Ability to stand and move quickly for 8–10 hours.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work in a smoking casino environment.
• Willingness to follow health and safety PPE protocols.

Responsibilities

• Promotes superior guest service.
• Set up and maintain the expedition side of the line.
• Set up and maintain server station drink receptacles including filling ice.
• Maintain stock of all NA beverage and paper goods.
• Bring up requisitions from the cage and warehouse and put items away to ensure organization.
• Take direction from servers and bartenders to assist in table maintenance.
• Communicate between the kitchen and the service staff to ensure quality and accuracy of orders.
• Know restaurant seat table and seat numbers regardless of table configuration.
• Clear, reset, and arrange tables as required.
• Ensure sanitation and food safety practices are followed by FOH; refresh sanitizer etc.
• Possess intimate knowledge of all food offerings to ensure consistency.
• Run food following proper service methods.
• Prepare leftover food for takeout as needed.
• Complete side duties such as polishing silverware and stocking condiments.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).

• Valid Food Handler’s card (onsite certification provided).

• Must be willing to work in a smoking environment when on the casino floor.
• Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures (wear a face mask, social distance, or other PPE).
