Job summary

ilani is seeking a Food Runner/Busser to support our restaurant team. You will buss tables, run food, assist wait staff and barback duties, and help coordinate between the kitchen and servers to ensure a seamless guest experience.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid Food Handler’s card, the ability to stand and lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work in a smoking casino environment while adhering to health and safety measures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED (or equivalent)
• Valid Food Handler's card (onsite certification provided)
• Must be able to stand and move quickly for an 8-10-hour shift
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Must be willing to work in a smoking environment when on the casino floor
• Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures (wear a face mask, social distance, or other PPE)

Responsibilities

• Promotes superior guest service.
• Set up and maintain the expedition side of the line.
• Set up and maintain server station drink receptacles including filling ice.
• Maintain stock of all NA beverage and paper goods.
• Bring up requisitions from the cage and warehouse and put items away to ensure organization.
• Take direction from servers and bartenders to assist in table maintenance.
• Communicate between the kitchen and the service staff to ensure quality and accuracy of orders.
• Know restaurant seat table and seat numbers no matter the configuration of tables.
• Clear, reset, and arrange tables as required.
• Ensure all sanitation and food safety practices are being followed by the FOH including but not limited to refreshing sanitizer buckets and practicing proper cleaning methods.
• Possess intimate knowledge off all food offerings to ensure consistency in product.
• Run food following proper service methods.
• Prepare left‑over food for takeout as needed.
• Complete side duties as required including, but not limited to, polishing silverware, restaurant set up, and filling of condiments.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
