As a member of the Dining Room Service Team, the Busser/Food Runner provides the integral function of re-setting tables and assisting with the dining experience for all guests. The execution of the service is to be performed in accordance with department standards, in a manner that maintains the high quality of the guest’s restaurant experience in the category of presentation.

Essential Functions:

• Sets up kitchen and dining room work areas in a timely, thorough and consistent manner. Set-up work is completed in a capacity to handle more business than projected.
• Complete set-up prior to outlet opening in order to be available on floor from start of service.
• Maintains all work areas in a neat, efficient manner during service.
• Prioritizes, organizes and maintains efficiency as work volume fluctuates.
• Uses high level technical service practices.
• Knowledgeable of menu items and products offered in his/her outlet, as well as specific Lodge and general local and greater area information.
• Concise, effective, respectful communication practices with all co-workers, including all kitchen staff.
• Sets tables according to department standards ensuring meticulous spacing and orientation of table linens, centerpiece arrangement, setting placement, chair orientation, absence of crumbs, used linen and other debris.
• All setting items are spotless.
• Properly breaks down and distributes bussed items at the dish station.
• Clean up, break down and re-set of work station and dining room performed thoroughly and efficiently.
• Know server’s order ticket abbreviations and format in order to help with food expediting.
• Know all menu item and beverage service standards in order to assist servers.
• Other work-related duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

• Desire to learn and grow in all aspects of the job.
• Good communication, organization and concentration skills.
• Ability to lift, push & pull up to 50 pounds.
