Theameswellhotel in Mountain View, CA, is seeking a Busser/Food Runner to support our Food & Beverage team. This part-time role involves connecting the kitchen and dining room, delivering food quickly, keeping tables guest-ready, and assisting during service.

You will help with bussing, refilling beverages, and initial service while maintaining a clean, organized dining area and communicating guest needs to servers.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced hospitality or food service environments.
• Ability to communicate clearly with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Delivers food and beverages from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately.
• Refills beverages and responds to guest requests in a timely manner.
• Assists with initial table service, such as water, bread, or welcome items.
• Answers basic guest questions about menu items and relays requests to servers.
• Ensures order accuracy, with attention to allergies and special requests.
• Assists servers in clearing and resetting tables to restaurant standards.
• Performs side work such as polishing silverware, refilling condiments, and crumbing tables.
• Prepares and resets tables before and after guest use, removing used dishes, utensils, and glassware promptly.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of dining areas throughout service.
• Acts as a liaison between kitchen staff and the front-of-house team, communicating order priorities and special requests.
• Maintains compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Supports team members during peak service periods and relays guest feedback to appropriate staff.

Description

As Busser/Food Runner, you'll be the connective tissue between the kitchen and the dining room — delivering food quickly, keeping tables guest-ready, and supporting the team through every stage of service.

Key Responsibilities
