Job summary

Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers is seeking a Busser to help maintain a clean, efficient dining room and provide friendly guest service. You will clear and reset tables, assist with dishwashing, and support servers to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.

Candidates should be flexible for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a valid Food Handlers Certification and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 15 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be at least sixteen years old.
• Food Handlers Certification required.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 lbs.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and welcoming dining areas by clearing and resetting tables promptly.
• Assist with dishwashing and ensure ample clean dishes and utensils.
• Keep work areas sanitized and organized to meet health standards.
• Support servers by refilling beverages and delivering orders as needed.
• Stock napkins, condiments, and utensils to ensure service readiness.
• Assist hosts and other team members to ensure smooth dining experience.

Job Summary:

As a Busser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests' satisfaction by maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in our restaurants. If you have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we invite you to apply.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Table Maintenance: Clearing and resetting tables promptly and efficiently to provide a clean and welcoming dining area for our guests.
• Dishwashing: Assisting in dishwashing duties, including sorting, stacking, and ensuring clean dishes, glassware, and utensils are readily available for use.
• Cleaning and Sanitization: Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including floors, counters, and equipment. Regularly sanitizing surfaces to meet health and safety standards.
• Assistance to Servers: Collaborating with the serving staff to deliver exceptional service by providing support as needed, such as refilling beverages and delivering food orders.
• Teamwork: Cooperating with team members to create a positive work environment and ensure smooth operations. Communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors to fulfill guest needs.
• Guest Interaction: Offering friendly and attentive service to guests, responding to inquiries, and assisting with any special requests they may have.
• Knowledge of Menu: Developing a good understanding of the menu items and ingredients to provide accurate information and make appropriate recommendations to guests.
• Stocking: Assisting in stocking supplies, such as napkins, condiments, and utensils, to ensure availability during service hours.
• Support for Other Roles: Assisting other team members, including servers and hosts, when necessary to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests.
• Adherence to Policies and Procedures: Following company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for providing excellent customer service. Ability to interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Attention to Detail: Keen eye for cleanliness and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in a fast-paced environment.
• Team Player: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team setting, assisting and supporting colleagues as needed.
• Adaptability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of the business.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills to interact with guests and team members effectively.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evening, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have a valid Food Handlers Certification
• Ability to learn cash register software used by bar or restaurant POS - Aloha, Hot Schedule, Paylocity

Education and Experience:

• Must be at least sixteen years old.
• Previous Experience: Prior experience as a Busser or in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred but not required. We are willing to train motivated individuals.

Physical Requirements:

• Capable of standing for extended periods, lifting and carrying trays, and performing tasks that involve bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds.
