Job summary

Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers - Old Town in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a courteous Busser to keep the dining area clean and efficient. You will assist servers, reset tables, and help ensure guests have a great experience.

Responsibilities include dishwashing, stocking, and maintaining high sanitation standards while working with a collaborative team in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least sixteen years old.
• Prior experience as a Busser or in a similar role is preferred but not required; training available.
• Must have a valid Food Handlers Certification.
• Able to learn cash register software used by bar or restaurant POS – Aloha, Hot Schedule, Paylocity.
• Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting at least 15 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Table Maintenance: Clearing and resetting tables promptly and efficiently.
• Dishwashing: Assisting in dishwashing duties and ensuring clean dishes and utensils.
• Cleaning and Sanitization: Maintaining a clean work area and sanitizing surfaces.
• Assistance to Servers: Supporting servers by refilling beverages and delivering orders.
• Teamwork: Cooperating with team members for smooth operations.
• Guest Interaction: Providing friendly and attentive service to guests.
• Knowledge of Menu: Understanding menu items to answer questions and make recommendations.
• Stocking: Replenishing napkins, condiments, and utensils.
• Support for Other Roles: Assisting servers and hosts as needed.
• Adherence to Policies and Procedures: Following health and safety rules.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Table Maintenance: Clearing and resetting tables promptly and efficiently to provide a clean and welcoming dining area for our guests.
• Dishwashing: Assisting in dishwashing duties, including sorting, stacking, and ensuring clean dishes, glassware, and utensils are readily available for use.
• Cleaning and Sanitization: Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including floors, counters, and equipment. Regularly sanitizing surfaces to meet health and safety standards.
• Assistance to Servers: Collaborating with the serving staff to deliver exceptional service by providing support as needed, such as refilling beverages and delivering food orders.
• Teamwork: Cooperating with team members to create a positive work environment and ensure smooth operations. Communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors to fulfill guest needs.
• Guest Interaction: Offering friendly and attentive service to guests, responding to inquiries, and assisting with any special requests they may have.
• Knowledge of Menu: Developing a good understanding of the menu items and ingredients to provide accurate information and make appropriate recommendations to guests.
• Stocking: Assisting in stocking supplies, such as napkins, condiments, and utensils, to ensure availability during service hours.
• Support for Other Roles: Assisting other team members, including servers and hosts, when necessary to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests.
• Adherence to Policies and Procedures: Following company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for providing excellent customer service. Ability to interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Attention to Detail: Keen eye for cleanliness and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in a fast-paced environment.
• Team Player: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team setting, assisting and supporting colleagues as needed.
• Adaptability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of the business.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills to interact with guests and team members effectively.

Education and Experience:

• Must be at least sixteen years old.
• Previous Experience: Prior experience as a Busser or in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred but not required. We are willing to train motivated individuals.

Physical Requirements:

• Capable of standing for extended periods, lifting and carrying trays, and performing tasks that involve bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds.
