Job summary

TMS Financial is seeking an experienced Business Tax Professional to join our Appleton, WI team. You will prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for businesses and individuals, develop tax strategies, and provide advisory services throughout the year.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters to clients and work independently or as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• 1+ year of experience with business tax filings and individual returns preferred.
• Strong knowledge of tax code and regulations; able to explain complex matters to clients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for businesses (C-Corps, partnerships, LLCs).
• Develop tax strategies and advise clients on mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions.
• Perform financial statement reviews and assist with accounting procedures and controls.
• Provide client relationship management and ongoing tax guidance throughout the year.
