Responsibilities

As a Business System Manager / Data Engineer, you are responsible for turning data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions. And you're up for the challenge.

Fully remote position - Central Time Zone preferred

*MUST HAVE advanced skillset in PowerBI and Power Query

In addition, you will:

• Work closely with the team to build complex algorithms that provide unique insights into our data
• Use agile software development processes to improve our back-end system iteratively
• Model front-end and back-end data sources for comprehensive analysis of user flows
• Build data pipelines to clean, transform, and aggregate data from various sources
• Develop predictive models for business insights
• Design and maintain data ingestion and transformation solutions for reporting
• Create documentation and provide training on designs and implementations
• Design queries and reports that deliver actionable insights
• Interface with customers to ensure deliverables meet expectations
• Monitor, validate, and develop automation scripts
• Identify and interpret trends in data sets
• Collaborate with local markets and process managers for process improvements
• Work with other business units to define requirements for software and experimental designs
• Participate in group meetings as a subject matter expert
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

About You:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or related field
• Experience with ETL processes
• Professional certification
• 3+ years experience with Python, SQL, Power BI, and data visualization tools
• Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments
• Strong initiative and project management skills
• Preferred experience in SQL, Python, Spark/Scala, R, C#
• Advanced experience with Power BI, Power Query, and Tableau
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to new technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work remotely with a reliable internet connection

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Guidelines: $95,000-$110,000/yr (DOE)
