Purpose

As a member of the Finance department you will serve as a strategic bridge between Finance, Supply Chain Management and IT to improve financial systems efficiency and standardize business systems solutions. This role reports directly to the Corporate Controller and focuses on improving business processes, optimizing financial and production D365 F&O modules, and supporting scalable operations through system enhancements, data integrity, and user training.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support financial and operational systems (D365 F&O, Legal, Treasury, Power BI, CRM, Microsoft Suite, Reporting, etc.) from a business and process perspective, ensuring alignment with supply chain and financial objectives while partnering with IT on technical execution
  • Ensure financial and operational processes are system-enabled and structured to support business agility, cross-functional collaboration, accurate reporting, and scalable growth
  • Support compliance, internal controls, and policy alignment through proper system setup and documentation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements through configuration, automation, and standardization of systems.
  • Maintain real-time dashboards and reporting solutions for informed decision-making.
  • Execute thorough hands-on testing of D365 scheduling functionality, capacity constraints, planning workflows, financial reporting .

Specific Duties

  • Support IT in conducting hands-on testing and troubleshooting of D365 features, including production scheduling and financial transactions.
  • Assist in configuring parameters and financial modules (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, etc.) to support accurate reporting and supply chain.
  • Work directly with planners, schedulers, and production staff to understand challenges and streamline scheduling processes using D365.
  • Develop SOPs, quick guides, process maps, and training materials for end users.
  • Partner with IT to ensure system compliance with corporate policies and troubleshoot financial system errors
  • Develop and maintain real time dashboards and reports
  • Partner with finance organization to identify waste and automate repetitive tasks
  • Serve as a liaison with IT and financial systems external consultants
  • Support reducing the month end closing cycle by streamlining processes and tasks

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, information systems, or relevant combination of experience and education
  • 4 - 7 years of experience in financial systems or relevant experience in a manufacturing or industrial context
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) in financial and/or production control environments.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of core financial processes (GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, Rev Rec, Financial Reporting).
  • Working knowledge of production scheduling logic, capacity planning, and resource management in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (F&O), Power BI, Excel, Visio, and MS Office Suite.
  • Basic knowledge of GAAP and internal control frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Project management skills to lead and organize integrations, implementation, and training of systems
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with cross functional teams

Travel Requirements

  • Minimal travel requirements (<10%)
