Job Summary:
The Business Process Reengineering Analyst will provide critical support to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) in the continuous improvement and modernization of logistics IT systems supporting U.S. Forces. The analyst will apply process improvement and reengineering methodologies to support the development and sustainment of acquisition strategies and business transformation initiatives across the full system development life cycle. The ideal candidate will be experienced in facilitating organizational change, conducting evaluations, modeling modern business methods, and identifying best practices in a DoD logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate and support business process reengineering across all phases of the acquisition lifecycle.
• Apply process improvement methodologies to enable successful process modernization projects.
• Support the development of acquisition strategies, business case analyses, alternative analyses, and capability development documentation.
• Develop and assess performance measurements, conduct site assessments, and support milestone reviews.
• Create process change by integrating new processes with existing ones, and ensure effective communication with impacted stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with business and technical personnel at all organizational levels.
• Assist in the implementation of new functionality, training programs, and troubleshooting efforts.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and identify strategic improvements in logistic support solutions.
• Develop communication plans and change proposals in support of business transformation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, Business, or a related field.
• A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience. At least one (1) year of experience in business process reengineering.
• Experience in working with EDI/XML electronic data exchanges.
• Familiarity with DOD/component logistics functions such as finance, supply, contract administration, and transportation.
• First-hand knowledge of DoD and DLA business procedures and data/transaction standards, including:
• DLMS and legacy formats
• MILSTRIP, MILSTRAP, MILSBILLS
• SDR/Web SDR
• DoDAAD/MAPAD
• LMARS, Physical Inventory
• Federal cataloging and materiel technical data standards
