Ariba, Inc. seeks a Business Process Consultant at our Palo Alto, CA location to Interact with both buyer and supplier customers providing education and training on the value of the SAP Business Network, new technology and enhancements to technology .
Expectations and Tasks:
Serves as an SAP Business Network knowledge expert and communicates SCC opportunities to bring business-impacting value to customers. Facilitates reporting to customers (internal/external) regarding progress on project initiatives. Appropriately identifies issues, potential risks and opportunities while working with a high degree of autonomy to address, escalate or handover within and across teams as appropriate . Accountable for executing against the project timeline while meeting customer goals and objectives . Holds ultimate responsibility for customer satisfaction on assigned projects. Understands and complies with work instructions, process documents and technology tools and ensures internal systems and tools are current. Actively identifies , contributes to and facilitates continuous improvement and best practice efforts, both internally and externally. Builds and maintains relationships with other parts of the
organization where partnerships can be beneficial in improving customer relationship , assisting with technology enhancements and overall improvement of delivery services. Understands how to create, plan, and execute meetings (internal/external) which drive results. Understands and tracks customer performance against the internal metrics that are outlined by SAP leadership; takes appropriate actions where needed to meet company MBO’s.
Education and Occupational Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Operations Management, or a related field of study and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively , a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Operations Management, or a related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:
Experience must involve two (2) years in the following:
Map business processes to solution requirements;
Write SQL queries to retrieve customer data;
Develop project plans; and
Experience must also involve one (1) year in the following:
Work with Global cross functional teams;
Resolve customer escalations/issues; and
Transform customer’s manual business processes via automation .

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $ 112,621 - $ 165,150 . SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $ 112,621 - $ 1 83,500 . The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
