A partner of the Optum Care network, WellMed Medical Group, is seeking a Business Process Consultant to optimize and scale the CareCoach Connect program across TX and FL. The CareCoach Connect program provides both longitudinal and episodic medical care to mostly Medicare-aged patients on a Medicare Advantage plan. This role works closely with business operations, information technology, and other stakeholder teams. This role helps deliver solutions that ensure that critical business capabilities are implemented effectively to achieve expected growth, efficiencies, medical cost savings and return on investment within WellMed's Care in the Home Business.



You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. *Preference is for candidates located in Central or Eastern time zones



Primary Responsibilities:



  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess current-state business processes, identify inefficiencies, and uncover opportunities for improvement

  • Lead workshops and facilitate discussions to gather requirements and align on future-state workflows

  • Develop and implement process improvement strategies using methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma or other industry best practices

  • Analyze healthcare-specific data to identify trends, measure process performance, and drive decision making

  • Design and document optimized workflows, policies, procedures

  • Provide change management support to ensure smooth implementation and adoption of new processes

  • Monitor and evaluate post-implementation performance to ensure sustainable outcomes

Required Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of experience in tracking, planning projects, working with data sets and making data-driven analytical decisions and recommendations

  • 5+ years of experience leading continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methodologies

  • Proven solid presentation skills across all levels of leadership

  • Proven ability to facilitate meetings, face to face or virtual, to drive action

  • Driver's License and access to a reliable transportation



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Project management certification

  • Risk management certification

  • Familiarity with ServiceNow issue management system

  • Working knowledge of smartsheet

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
