SUMMARY:
The Business Operations Specialist will support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) - ESO (Acquisition function).
DHA is responsible for the effective execution and operation of the Department of Defense (DoD) medical mission, which is to provide medical services and support to specified categories of individuals entitled to DoD medical care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ability to develop organizational communication through various vehicles to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to develop, implement, monitor, evaluate, forecast, and report progress toward achieving organizational goals and objectives.
- Ability to produce, maintain, and publish a variety of routine reports and publications at the executive level.
- Assist ongoing Government efforts and initiatives related to DHA's goal of developing and maintaining a high-performance acquisition organization. Support will focus on refining and retooling acquisition processes to achieve the strategic vision.
- Assist the CAE in acquisition strategic planning, management advisory consulting, acquisition operations quality assurance, new efficiency initiatives, policy changes, and support implementation of RMIC findings, process improvements, metrics reporting, Network Based Buying, Acquisition of Services, IMR, SRRB, ASC implementations, and other initiatives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 5 years of extensive knowledge or understanding in this field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in strategic/operational planning, business process management, policy coordination, training, information management, and related activities.
- Ability to develop organizational communication through various vehicles to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to develop, implement, monitor, evaluate, forecast, and report progress toward organizational goals.
- Ability to produce, maintain, and publish routine reports at the executive level.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and Adobe Acrobat.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, CLEARANCE:
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance if required by contract.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods, handle objects, reach, talk, and hear.
- Work on desktop or laptop computers for extended periods reviewing information and preparing reports.
- Occasional lifting of weights less than 15 pounds.
