What we do:

The Business Operations Lead plays a critical role in maintaining continuous end user services support, providing hands-on assistance for escalated technical issues, developing staff capability, and enforcing standard operating procedures to ensure high service levels and operational resilience.

The Cash & Custody Function engages in critical operations on behalf of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the Federal Reserve System including the distribution of U.S. Dollar Currency to the Second District, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands & international customers, as well as Gold Safekeeping Operations.

Your Role as Business Operations Lead:

• Support business continuity and contingency planning for automated systems.
• Champion team growth through direct mentorship and training, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and shared accountability.
• Oversee daily operational execution, monitoring team performance and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Resolve escalated problems by collaborating closely with internal teams, Bank stakeholders, and vendors.
• Drive process optimization, identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all operational processes and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, regulations, and industry standards.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage day-to-day operations, prioritize effectively, and hold a team accountable to performance standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to set clear expectations, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate across teams and leadership levels.
• High-level customer support experience, with a track record of maintaining service excellence and resolving escalated issues with professionalism and urgency.
• Solid understanding of operational controls and compliance, ensuring processes align with SOPs, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.
• A coaching mindset, with experience training and developing team members to build capability and drive continuous improvement.
• Self-motivated and independent, with the ability to manage projects and processes with minimal supervision.
• Flexible availability, including on-call support, shift coverage, or rotating schedules as needed.

* This role is based out of East Rutherford, NJ. Potentially moving to Warren, NJ.

Salary Range:

Salary Range: $111,400 - $150,000 /year
