Job description

Location: In Office 5 days a week in Philadelphia, PA (Manayunk)
About the Role:

There’s a lot that goes into getting a Benebone from the factory floor to a dog’s paws. Behind the scenes, it takes coordination across purchasing, production, logistics, and retailer operations to keep everything moving. We’re looking for an organized, resourceful, and proactive Business Operations Coordinator to help make it all happen.

In this role, you’ll work closely with factories, suppliers, warehouses, freight partners, and internal teams to keep products moving, solve problems, and tackle the everyday challenges of a growing business. No two days will look exactly alike, and you’ll have the opportunity to get involved in everything from purchase orders and freight shipments to new product launches and process improvements.

Our team needs someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, has a keen eye for detail, brings a positive attitude to the team, and is always sniffing out smarter ways to get things done. Someone who values collaboration, embraces our fun, dog-loving culture, and isn’t afraid to jump in wherever needed.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage purchase order creation, tracking, receiving, and follow-up for components and finished goods.
  • Resolve discrepancies between purchase orders, invoices, inventory, and received goods.

  • Coordinate LTL and FTL shipments, including freight forwarding.
  • Maintain retailer routing guides and manage transportation requests through customer portals.
  • Work with carriers, brokers, and warehouses to coordinate shipments and resolve issues.
Retailer Compliance & Product Management
  • Manage new item setup and ongoing maintenance in retailer platforms.
  • Coordinate product compliance testing and quality control.
  • Manage customer chargebacks and compliance requests, including fill rate reports, vendor compliance, and catalog assistance.
  • Navigate retailer portals to manage orders, shipments, and compliance requirements.
Collaboration & Process Improvement
  • Partner with Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Finance to bring new products to market.
  • Use AI and other tools to improve operational processes and efficiency.
  • Support special projects and other operational initiatives.
  • Participate in onsite visits to factories and suppliers.
What We’re Looking For

  • Comfortable navigating a growing and sometimes unpredictable environment
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage projects and priorities without letting things fall through the cracks
  • Able to think analytically, communicate clearly, and work well with teammates across the business
  • Have an allergic reaction to the phrase “that’s not my job”
  • Pitch in occasionally at a dog shelter, local store, or event
  • Position may require travel, including overnights and multiple days
