Drive Operational Excellence in Long-Term Care
We are seeking a Business Office Manager to oversee financial and administrative operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working collaboratively in a dynamic environment while maintaining professionalism.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Receivable: maintain documentation, send collection letters, follow up on past-due receivables.
- Support Billing Operations: compile and process monthly private billing, post daily cash deposits, verify financial info for inquiries and admissions.
- Process Claims: handle Medicare, MSP, Managed Care, and Primary Insurance claims, ensuring timely processing and follow-up.
- Oversee Resident Trust Funds: maintain accurate records and ensure compliance.
- Ensure Accurate Billing: complete Medicare/HMO claims by the 5th, bill hospice promptly, manage daily deposits.
- Communicate Effectively: collaborate with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Provide Training: train team members to meet backup requirements for office functions.
- Attend Meetings: review admissions, discharges, and payer changes to maintain accurate census.
- Manage Office Tasks: handle mail, update census and payer info, adhere to collection policies.
- Verify Financials for Admissions: conduct financial verification and complete paperwork efficiently.
Ideal Candidate
We seek someone who:
- Has knowledge of accounts receivable and financial processes.
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills and multitasking ability.
- Is proficient in computer skills, including typing and 10-key.
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Shows attention to detail and can meet deadlines.
- Cares about elderly and disabled individuals and is committed to resident well-being.
- Follows policies related to patient rights and safety.
