Precision Care Surgery Center is seeking an experienced Business Office Manager and looking to hire immediately. This surgical center is located in East Setauket, New York.
The Business Office Manager performs and supervises assigned business office functions, including (but not limited to): Medical Records, Credentialing, Admissions/Intake, Accounts Payable, Billing, Collections, Insurance Verification, Transaction, Posting, Clinical Logs, Financial end of month closure and reporting, Recruitment, Training, and Retention of the Business office personnel.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Supervision of non-medical personnel
- Works closely with the Materials Manager to oversee and ensure accuracy of the AP process
- Responsible for purchase orders, petty cash and accounts receivable.
- Coordinates employee medical records.
- Acts as liaison with insurance companies
- Supports the accounting service for the timely and accurate completion of all financial statements for submission.
- Supports the third-party human resources service for the timely and accurate completion of payroll and forward to corporate for processing.
- Coordinate the Business Office so that the operation is most efficient for all concerned.
- Works closely with Nurse Director so that the flow of the overall operation is most efficient, reporting all activities to the Administrator.
- Works closely with the Administrator to promote the utilization of the Surgery Center.
- Responsible for the accurate interpretation and implementation of the terms of contracts with all third-party payers.
- Demonstrates competency in performing job task and in operating equipment on an annual basis
- Demonstrates appropriate awareness of age specific development needs the population served as it is related to the performance of departmental duties.
- Utilizes time effectively
- Maintains accounts payable, and coordinates bookkeeping. Works with third party accountant and billing service in closing each month
- Coordinates third party human resource service for all Surgery Center staff.
- Coordinates third party billing service.
- Ensures that administrative and accounting procedures are carried out timely and accurately.
- Performs other miscellaneous secretarial duties as needed.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field and a minimum of 3 years related experience in running a medical office required.
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Strong knowledge of healthcare billing Medicare Part B type claims
- Extensive experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable. Medical terminology knowledge required.
- Computer experience, Excel, Word, Medical Billing Software and Applications.
- Previous ASC experience preferred

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
