Job Description

The Business Office Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and operating the Business Office in accordance with current Federal, State, and local regulations, standards, guidelines, and facility policies. This role includes managing human resources systems such as onboarding, payroll, staff scheduling, benefits, and workers' compensation, as well as overseeing reception operations and managing patient/resident financial services including trust fund management, accounts receivable, and collections.

Minimum Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or coursework in human resources, business management, communication, administration, or public relations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work tactfully and effectively with residents, families, staff, and the public.
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties and cope with emotional and physical stress.
  • Ability to operate office equipment and occasionally lift supplies.
Responsibilities
  1. Manage human resources processes including recruitment, onboarding, staff files, performance reviews, and compliance with licensing and background checks.
  2. Coordinate reception activities and ensure proper functioning of the reception area.
  3. Manage resident financial services, including trust funds, billing, collections, and Medicaid applications.
  4. Participate in QAPI programs and other administrative duties as assigned.
