The Business Office Manager (BOM) is responsible for the operations of the business office including: accounts receivable, resident billing, accounts payable, payroll, central supply, and Resident Trust Fund.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Set up and maintain financial files for residents: billing, admission papers, state and Medicare reimbursement documents.
  2. Complete receipt records, post deposits, run cash receipts batch listings, research, prepare, and post adjustments, call in deposit, and enter census daily into the community database.
  3. Coordinate and perform the collection of accounts receivable and past due accounts.
  4. Review payment policies and procedures with new admissions and their responsible parties.
  5. Prepare billing for agencies, Medicare, veterans, and other billing agents.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. This position requires the care team member to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the spoken English language.
  2. This position requires the care team member to be able to reach (overhead), stand, walk, sit, pull, lift, carry, push, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and twist.
  3. This position requires the care team member to be able to use computers and the Microsoft Office suite of applications as well as knowledge of computerized payroll and bookkeeping systems.
  4. This position requires the care team member to be knowledgeable of billing and collection practices and techniques.
