Job summary

City of Marietta is seeking an aggregate professional to audit, inspect, administer, and enforce the City’s business license ordinances. You will investigate delinquent fees, assist with applications and fee calculations, and support license renewals.

The role requires coordination of audits, maintenance of records, and interaction with business owners to ensure compliance and timely payments. A valid Georgia driver’s license and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred and at least two years of experience with city business licenses, codes, rules and regulations.
• Knowledge and skill with MS Office Suite and COGNOS.

Responsibilities

• Audit meetings and tax compliance audits for various businesses as determined by management.
• Coordinate audits of licensed businesses using standard auditing techniques.
• Assist customers with inquiries concerning business license fees, applications, calculations, and codes.
