Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Business Development Specialist to drive proactive marketing and BD initiatives for our Corporate and AI practice areas. You will translate priorities into actionable plans, collaborate with attorneys and staff, and lead cross-functional efforts to grow client relationships and market presence.

The role supports BD projects, pitch materials, RFP responses, and strategic campaigns, with opportunities to influence strategy and ROI across practice groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; focus in business, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in law firm or professional services environment.
• Experience with deal reporting, pipeline management, and competitive market intelligence in a legal setting preferred.
• Familiarity with deal databases and marketing intelligence platforms and CRM systems such as InterAction and Foundation is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication; ability to produce compelling proposals, collateral, reports, and client materials.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute high-quality business development and marketing projects for assigned groups.
• Coordinate with BD, Marketing, and Communications to translate priorities into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
• Lead cross-team collaborations and contribute to multi-team efforts.
• Produce reports and summaries with insights for attorneys and partners.
• Support planning of BD events, webinars, and sponsorships; track ROI and impact.
