Description: Armstrong Service, Inc. (ASI) is currently looking for a Business Development Specialist to identify customers and drive our sales development process in order to meet our strategic growth. ASI provides expertise in the Operations and Maintenance, Engineering, and Project Management of utility plant and distribution systems. ASI is a division of Armstrong International, a world leader in utility systems optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Creating a lead generation system to identify and target high-value customers.
  2. Developing relationships to drive proposal development and presentation of ASI’s services.
  3. Managing the entire sales process from lead development through contract signing.
  4. Developing marketing strategies targeting key vertical and geographic markets.
  5. Maintaining key customer relationships and expanding service offerings.
  6. Acting as the intermediary between Sales and Operations for new opportunities.
  7. Managing tasks related to costing, pricing, solution development, and strategy.
  8. Participating in initial kick-off meetings to create critical milestones.
  9. Understanding customer requirements and developing the scope of work.
  10. Logging opportunity updates and communication in systems like SalesForce.
  11. Managing site audit data and building applicable solutions.
  12. Defining and managing risk/cost strategies for each opportunity.
  13. Collaborating with support departments to build competitive solutions.
  14. Monitoring pricing strategies and continuously improving.
  15. Managing multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  16. Traveling for lead development, proposal preparation, and customer relations meetings.
  17. Developing long-term relationships with key accounts.

Key Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of successful lead generation, proposal development, and sales experience.
  3. Knowledge and experience in thermal energy and facilities.
  4. Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  5. Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  6. Ability to create marketing strategies and tools.
  7. Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  8. Adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
  9. Proficiency with MS Office is required.
