Job summary

Cromwell Architects Engineers seeks a Business Development Representative to identify, pursue, and secure opportunities in the national industrial market from its Little Rock, AR headquarters. You will cultivate C-suite and director-level relationships, network at industry events, and collaborate with marketing, design and engineering to craft compelling proposals.

The role requires 5+ years in BD within A/E, strong communication and negotiation skills, and 50% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture, or related field.
• 5+ years' experience in business development, preferably within the A/E industry.
• Proven track record of securing and managing client relationships and contracts.
• Familiarity with design and construction processes.
• Experience with CRM tools and proposal development platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic business development plan focused on the growth and expansion of the local and national industrial market.
• Initiate contact with decision-makers such as C-Suite executives, facility directors and maintenance managers.
• Build long-term relationships with clients, consultants, and general contractors to position the firm for future opportunities.
• Identify upcoming projects, RFPs, and partnership opportunities through market research and networking.
• Represent the firm at industry conferences, trade shows and networking functions to expand the firm’s visibility.
• Track and report on business development activities, project pipeline, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, design, engineering) to develop compelling proposals and presentations.

Position Purpose

The Business Development Representative is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities within the Industrial market nationwide. This role requires strong relationship-building skills and knowledge of Customer Relationship Management systems with a background in sales or networking to include an understanding of industrial facilities planning and the A/E industry. This position will office in our Little Rock, Arkansas headquarters.
