Job summary

Brown & Brown, Inc is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative in Milwaukee, WI to drive outbound prospecting, build relationships with executives, and schedule meetings for Producers. The role emphasizes relationship building, discipline, and a track record of meeting activity goals.

You will gain industry exposure across Employee Benefits and Property & Casualty teams, with training, mentorship, and licensing support to advance your sales career within a leading insurance

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Exceptional telephone and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to confidently engage prospective clients and build rapport.

  • Willingness to obtain and maintain an insurance license.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, and strategic outreach initiatives.
  • Research prospective clients and conduct needs analyses to uncover business challenges and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with business owners, executives, and key decision-makers through phone calls, emails, social media, and in-person interactions.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings between qualified prospects and Producers.
  • Partner with Employee Benefits and Property & Casualty sales teams to develop targeted prospecting strategies.
  • Facilitate sales calls and provide Producers with qualified lead information.
  • Leverage CRM systems, sales tools, and market intelligence platforms to generate leads and manage prospect activity.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect, pipeline, and activity information within CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver a seamless prospect and client experience.
  • Consistently meet or exceed activity, appointment-setting, and pipeline development goals.
  • Attend training opportunities to remain current on industry trends, products, coverages, legislation, and emerging market opportunities.
  • Represent Brown & Brown professionally at networking events, industry functions, and community engagements.

What You Will Contribute

Skills & Experience to Be Successful

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Insurance industry experience is a plus but not required.

Pay Range 60000 - 100000 Annual
